A cozy, small resort entices you in the Indian Ocean and pampers you with its services. Luxury at its finest.
Let’s close our eyes and imagine ourselves on a tropical dream island. We walk on soft sandy shores, with the endless blue of the ocean and gently rippling white waves on both sides. Ahead of us, a table is set on a small sandy clearing, inviting us to enjoy an evening picnic while watching the sun dip below the horizon.
As if we were part of a scene from a romantic movie. Yet, this is entirely real, and we can become the main characters of our own living story. This is just one of the experiences Kudadoo offers—a resort island in the Maldives that is among the most exclusive and intimate retreats.
Anything. Anywhere. Anytime
Kudadoo Private Island is the first five-star deluxe resort in the Maldives to offer what is known as luxury all-inclusive. But what does that really mean? While traditional all-inclusive typically covers unlimited food and drinks, luxury all-inclusive goes far beyond that. Guests can enjoy all of the resort’s services without limitations—from spa treatments and sunset cruises to scuba diving, exclusive cheese and wine tastings, or even a dream dinner at a unique location, complete with premium champagne and fine wines. Whether it’s jet skiing or other extraordinary experiences, everything is included. But the true meaning of luxury all-inclusive becomes clear when you realize that Kudadoo’s motto—"Anything. Anywhere. Anytime."—is not just a slogan, but a promise taken literally.
Beyond its exceptional, guest-centered services, Kudadoo’s magic lies in its intimacy and small size. The island spans just three hectares—only a few football fields in area—and features only 15 overwater residences, arranged in a semi-circle around the white sand-covered land. Each villa boasts a spacious private pool and sun deck, inviting pure relaxation, with just a few steps leading down into the velvety waters of the ocean.
The island’s lush greenery creates a shady retreat, perfect for unwinding or even trying padel tennis—a sport that blends squash and tennis, played on a smaller, glass-walled court. Kudadoo’s central facilities are uniquely built over the water, connected by a boardwalk leading to an elegant, stilt-supported main building. This exclusive space houses the wellness center, restaurant, bar, game room, and even a luxurious, glass-walled wine “cellar”, offering a perfectly chilled selection of fine wines.
The roof of the main building is entirely covered with solar panels, which—as the exceptionally polite and helpful staff explained—generate and store enough solar energy to power the entire island. This is also one of the tallest overwater structures in the Maldives, designed by renowned architect Yuji Yamasaki. The building incorporates elements of traditional Japanese architecture, with an orientation and design that allow natural ventilation to cool the interiors throughout the day, while sunlight floods the space from sunrise onwards. Of course, the massive pool on the terrace is a highlight, its waters warming even more than the ocean in the tropical sun. (Not that the ocean is lacking in warmth—it often reaches a balmy 28–30°C.)
It’s no surprise that in the year of its opening, Kudadoo was named the world’s best new luxury resort and later received top honors in the sustainability and environmental protection category. Last year, it also earned the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award, a recognition based on outstanding guest reviews.
Tailor-Made Experiences
Our residence comes with a personal butler, available 24/7 to ensure that our stay on this tropical island perfectly aligns with our lifestyle and every desire. Upon request, they will bring breakfast to our villa, unpack our luggage, mix our favorite cocktails, arrange romantic beachfront dinners, and organize excursions—allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment.
This level of luxury all-inclusive extends just as much to these personalized services as it does to the wide range of amenities mentioned earlier. To stay active, guests can opt for private yoga sessions or personal training, while those seeking complete solitude can retreat not only to their spacious villa but also to Dream Island, a tiny sandbank available exclusively upon request. For deep relaxation, the Sulha Spa offers a sanctuary of tranquility—including the Maldives’ first Himalayan salt chamber, the Lonu Cave. Himalayan salt is renowned worldwide for its healing properties, and inhaling its mineral-rich air is known to purify the lungs and promote overall well-being.
The beautiful, spacious villas were designed and built to seamlessly blend into the natural surroundings while taking full advantage of their environment. Natural light floods the interiors, and while air conditioning is available, the natural airflow from outside can also be used for cooling. Almost every corner of the villa offers a breathtaking view of the ocean, making the experience even more immersive and serene.
The one-bedroom residence spans 310 square meters, while the family villa offers 390 square meters of space. Each villa features a 44-square-meter private pool, perfect for relaxation. Inside, guests are welcomed by oak flooring, handcrafted, luxurious furniture, and amenities such as a television and a minibar stocked with premium beverages.
The owner’s wine “cellar” in the central building boasts 70 exclusive, world-renowned wines, complemented by the resort’s own extensive selection of nearly 100 labels. A professional sommelier is on hand to help pair the perfect wine with gourmet dishes or recommend the ideal choice from the wine and champagne collection to accompany one of the 50 artisanal cheeses available.
Endless Waters
If we’re in the mood for a longer boat trip, we can set sail aboard the resort’s private yacht. With prior reservation and an additional fee, it can be rented for a few hours, half a day, or even a full day. With the guidance of an experienced captain, we can explore the most stunning reefs of the Lhaviyani Atoll—and even venture beyond—to discover the breathtaking marine life of the open sea.
We can marvel at the vibrant coral formations, colorful fish, and schools of tiny fish swimming in unison. We may also encounter graceful manta rays, whose wingspans can reach up to three meters, or even spot small to medium-sized sharks gliding through the waters.
